Il Gelsomino
It is part of an old stone village house, built approximately 250 years ago and overlooks a white marble 14th century church. Il Gelsomino is located right in the heart of this typical Tuscan borgo(village) , nestled amongst wooded hills and Dante's Pass on Monte Pisano south of Lucca. The apartment has been restored to retain the local character and to provide comfortable accommodation for 2+1. All the rooms have radiators, terracotta floors, and original chestnut beams. The English speaking owner lives in the house across the courtyard, and is willing to loan maps, guide books and give local advice if required. There is easy free parking in the church square and surrounding roads. Steep stone steeps lead up to Il Gelsomino from a pretty courtyard onto the sunny private terrace, covered in jasmine (from which Il Gelsomino takes its name). Here guests may choose to enjoy their meals “alfresco” or simply relax with a glass of local wine. Private main entrance through French doors - first floor:
Restored in keeping with the period of the house, it has a marble sink,
microwave oven, gas hob, toaster, electric kettle and fridge. View towards
the hills.
